Joshua Cohen is the President and CEO of Pearl Media. With over 25 years’ experience in the media and advertising business, Joshua has continued to develop new and exciting avenues for brands to engage with consumers where they work, shop, live and play. Through Pearl Media, Cohen has built one of the premiere OOH catalogs in top markets including NYC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Chicago, Nashville and Dallas. Pearl has also created and developed all encompassing digital and marketing footprints in prominent venues around the country controlling over 400+ screens nationwide including the likes of Brookfield Place and Chelsea Market in NYC, Salesforce Transit Center in San Francisco, 5th + Broadway in Nashville and Brickell City Centre in Miami. In 2022, Pearl Media acquired LURE Outdoor adding over 120 high profile, eye-level Billboards to its portfolio.
Cohen began his career in media working for NASCAR, the largest spectator sport in the United States. At NASCAR, Cohen generated new revenue for the league through sponsorship and new media opportunities. He was part of the team that signed one of the largest sponsorship deals in the history of sports by renaming NASCAR’s Premier Cup Series the NASCAR “NEXTEL” Cup Series. This groundbreaking deal, worth more than $750 million over 10 years, was widely recognized by the industry and became a template for many other leagues to incorporate similar sponsorship packages.
